Raffle!

As promised, details on the raffle! I'm really, really excited about this.  Here's how it's going to work:  every comment on any blog post, recent or otherwise, counts as a 'ticket.'  There is no limit on how often you can post, but no silly comments to boost your count, please!  I'm looking to reward my readers and boost readership, not my own ego.

You have from today, the 27 of July, until midnight central standard time on August 27 to comment.  Winners will be announced Sunday afternoon!

And what, you might ask, will the winners get?  The first name drawn will receive their choice of an english or western base set, which includes the saddle, bridle, pad, and girth.  You can read more about the available base sets on my website (www.dreamflitedesign.com, or follow the link on the side menu of the blog).  The second name drawn will receive a $20 credit towards any order*, to be placed within one year of the raffle date.

I'll have to start posting more than once a week now, won't I? Class is almost over, and I'll have a little more free time to get things done.  I can't wait to see who wins the raffle! Good luck, everyone!

* $20 credits cannot be applied to past orders.

  1. Eeee, this is SO generous of you! Your tack has to be the finest I've seen for this scale - so good that if it wasn't for the fact that I recognised the models in question, I'd often mistake them for trad work!

(and that's not me just saying that to stand a better chance of winning! lol)

  2. This is really cool, I've admired your work for a while now. It's just so tiny! I love stablemates, they're one of my favorite sizes for customizing. I also once made a saddle using your old tutorial and I can't wait for the new one!

  3. I've just never comprehended how to make a bridle that small, I think I would get frustrated trying to make one! You do a beautiful job!

  5. Minis are my passion and I adore mini tack and props. For a long time now your tack has been head and shoulders above the rest and I love seeing what you come up with next.

  7. I'm very excited for this raffle! I love your work. I've just started and stablemates are my favorite scale to work in, any bigger and I start getting intimidated...

  8. @ Stephanie:

I know the feeling! Traditional scale tack requires so much more detail, and I have a lot of little short cuts that I use with the minis that I 'd need to give up.

  9. can't wait to get posting!! im excited about this raffle, i have drooled over your woirk for a couple years now since i found you not long after ir started collecting...
Stablemates make up the majority of my model horse herd as i keep picking one or two up from the Saddlery when i'm there...and they're cheap so i can easily buy 1 here and 1 there and end up with 20 in a short space of time!!!

  12. Ooh, I just noticed you mentioned a boots tutorial! Would I be able to scale it up to 1/12th? I've been wanting to make some tendon boots for my Julips for ages. XD

  13. I don't see why not, Christine! It's simple enough that I don't keep a pattern around for it. I'm hoping to whip that out on Monday, but you never know what's going to happen around here!

  23. I've been following your blog for so long now, without ever commenting or letting you know how amazing your work is. This is a good opportunity to do so :) As a completely novice but mini-adoring tack maker, I hold you and your work in the highest respect and can only hope to one day create pieces as incredible and TINY as your's! Thank you for being an inspiration!!

  27. This is very generous, and thanks for opening comments so we can all post! :)

I'm the opposite: Stablemate scale is what intimidates me! Those tiny tiny peices... traditional scale I can at least grab and hold on to. :) Very impressive work!
