Statistics

I'm a numbers freak.  I took Pre-Calc & Trig in high school and LIKED IT. I'm also a fan of useless information, and I want to share that passion with you today by giving you statistics about this blog that you could probably care less about! I doubt you're all as interested as I am, but it's really cool to see how the pageviews have grown since I revamped the blog in January, and even more since I started the raffle in July.  The blog peaked in June with just over 1000 page views, but August is set to overtake with over 950 in the first couple of weeks.

According to Blogger, the vast majority of you are from the US, with the UK and Australia a pretty even second.  After that is Canada, and then a handful of European countries like Germany, France, and Estonia (who knew?!).  Most of you use Windows OS, but Internet Explorer and Firefox are evenly tied as top web browser, with Chrome a close second.

Most of you come over here from Jennifer Buxton's wonderful, wonderful blog, but quite a few make it over from my website.  Model Horse Blab has been a source of traffic recently, thanks to a post announcing the raffle. The search results that turn up my blog include dreamflite design, dream flight design model horse, and
"pics of so randoms studio"? People who are looking for pics of so randoms studio are actually looking for photos from Demi Lovato's Disney Channel show Sonny With A Chance. I'm sure they're quite disappointed to find someone rambling on about model horses and saddles!

Prior to the raffle, the most-viewed post was my product review of stirrup irons.  Now? The official raffle announcement with 161, followed by the FAQ with 48.  The most commented post? The raffle announcement with 30.  The recent galloping boots tutorial with 17, followed by "I Think I'm In Love" with 16, take second and third.

And, for some not-so-useless information, trim painting has progressed and hopefully I'll be able to move back into my room before class starts on the 22nd!

  1. Firstly, thanks for calling my blog wonderful x 2. That really means a lot to me. :)

Like you, I tend to obsess over my blog stats. The Braymere blog should cross over the 300,000 pageview mark tonight and I am just geeky enough that I've thought about staying up so I can see it happen!

I am also nearing the one thousand post milestone and will probably have some sort of raffle to celebrate... Stay tuned!

  2. I love blog stats too :). Even when I don't have time to actively blog, I still take a few seconds out of my day to look over the stats.

  3. I barely look at stats as I know I have so few people watching me that there's no real point! lol
I'm quite surprised that Windows is the most common browser - I can't stand it! So slow and argy - give me Firefox any day! XD

  5. @Jennifer: That's awesome! I will DEFINITELY keep an eye out for your raffle.

@Sonshine: my not-so-inner geek compels me to check out the stats once a day, at LEAST.

@Christine: Actually, Firefox and Internet Explorer are tied for top browser ;) Windows is the top operating system over Macintosh, iPods, and Androids. I love reading your blog, though! I don't think I commented on it, but I loved looking through the gazillion and one photos you posted from that show. I even saved a couple as reference for a model!

@Anon: Yep, Estonia! Also Slovenia, the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark. (Psst...include some sort of handle in your comment so that I can include it in the raffle!)

  6. I'm one of the Chromers. I always come from the Blogger Dashboard since I'm a follower, does that show up as one of the referring sites? I also loved Math in high school.

  7. Ah well that makes sense then! XD

Glad you appreciated them! :D I hardly get to go to any shows (in fact, the RHS is pretty much IT per year! lol) so I tend to overcompensate for it by taking as you said, about a gazillion! XD

i would hardly get up the stats for lil ol' New Zealand to get into the line up! lol! unless it counts me as Australia....

i never check the stats of my blog as i KNOW no-one visits...kind of dissapointing really, but then i don't really post of anything interesting...mainly about my life and what's happening modelly wise with me...

  11. I love random stats :) There's so pointless yet so interesting! I'm also surprised that Windows is the most common browser.. ugh, I can't stand it. And I am one who frequently comes over from Jennifer's blog because you two make up 2/3 of my favorite blog list (Don't Eat the Paint is the third)!

  12. @ Gracie: I love Don't Eat the Paint! I should probably add it to my blog list on here.
